This nice new room with wraparound theater-style seating dictated a WoodWorx WX12 central cluster for best coverage. The circular waveguide horns exhibit minimal phase cancellation, and allow more flexibility in configurations due to their wider vertical dispersion. This allowed us to suspend a tight, angled array without compromising sound to the side seating.

This room also demanded our pole-mounted choir monitors for closer proximity and better coverage than a ceiling monitor. All electronics including the Soundcraft LX7 24-channel mixer and Yamaha amplifiers were located in the sound booth on the rear floor. The Yamaha high-efficiency amps are the only ones I've heard with fans quiet enough not to interfere with engineering. The fact that the three amplifiers draw less than 12 amps combined means a single 20-amp circuit was enough for the whole booth.
