A Personal History
Ira White became involved in sound early on as a professional guitarist and singer. In 1983, he began working
in audio sales and established his first multitrack recording studio for professional projects, expanding into
full commercial production by 1985.
Recording for major church productions led to a sound director position with a prominent local church in 1986. This
became the stimulus of a life-long desire to serve churches in his chosen fields. Some of his subsequent engineering
credits include London Bridge Baptist and First Baptist Church of Norfolk, CBN's Founders Inn Conference Center and
Dinner Theater, The Man Called Jesus theatrical productions, and numerous artist concerts such as Todd Agnew, First Call, Al
Denson, Steve Fry, Scott Wesley Brown, Ron Kenoly, Ballet Magnificat, and the recent Paul Wilbur "Lion of Judah" tour.
Ira established his own business in 1992 with the primary goal of providing churches and recording studios with quality
audio and qualified support at an affordable price. In 1997, he released his first book, Audio Made Easy, and has since
completed an expanded section on wireless microphone systems.
Currently, Ira serves as sound director for Kempsville Evangelical Presbyterian in Virginia Beach, Va. He lives in
Portsmouth Va. with his wife Susan, and still engages in extracurricular engineering, music production, and performing
for various ministries.
